15 LARGE INVESTMENT PROJECTS WILL BE IMPLEMENTED IN THE REPUBLIC OF MORDOVIA FOR THE NEXT 5 YEARS
The Administration of Head of the Republic of Mordovia reported 15 investment projects planned for implementation in the republic for the next five years.
Strategically important countrywide project will be implemented in the first Russian factory of optical fiber production, opened in Saransk in the autumn of 2015. In the near future, the production capacity of the factory will grow significantly.
The Supervisory Board of Industrial Development Fund has approved the project and decided to provide a 500 million rubles loan for its implementation. Besides, it is planned to start the second complex for optical fiber production.
The project implemented by Saransk plant Biokhimik is of great importance for drug safety of the country. To reduce dependence on foreign medicines, there was established pharmaceutical research and production engineering center “Antibiotiki” (Russian for antibiotics). In the autumn of 2017, the factory produced the first pilot batch of the substance for vancomicyn, a modern antibiotic. In the near future there will be started the full production cycle of four latest-generation antibiotics.
