A BIOLOGICAL PRESERVATIVE FOR AGRICULTURAL ENTERPRISES HAS BEEN DEVELOPED IN MORDOVIA
BIOKONSERVATSIYA (Bioconservation), the start-up company of the Center for Nanotechnologies and Nanomaterials of the Republic of Mordovia, announced the market launch of a new product for agricultural enterprises - a biological preservative used for the preparation of plant feed.
As the Mordovian nanocenter representatives said, this is a versatile microbiological complex for high-quality ensiling and silage of feed crops. The product called Silakol consists of a composition of three highly effective strains of homofermentative lactic acid bacteria in the required concentration.
According to Kiselev, the use of Silakol bio-preservative helps to regulate fermentation processes in ensiling and silage, prevents butyric fermentation, rotting, and over-acidification of silage, creates additional fungistatic protection and thereby increases the safety and energy value of the ensiling forage.
