A CORONAVIRUS CURE DEVELOPED BY SARANSK BIOKHIMIK PLANT WILL BE DISTRIBUTED TO RUSSIAN HOSPITALS
The antiviral drug called Areplivir, developed in Saransk and used in the treatment of Covid-19, has been put into production. On June 23, the company called Promomed received a registration certificate for the launch of this medicine on the site of Biochemist JSC.
Recall that an enterprise can produce up to 1 million packages per month, which is enough to cover all the needs of Russian medical facilities for this drug. Areplivir production will help protect the citizens from the second wave of the coronavirus infection pandemic.
Currently, the clinical trials for Areplivir are being finished. The results of the third phase of the studies have shown that its efficiency is over 90%.
Incidentally, the drug is not intended for sale in pharmacies, it will only be used in clinics.
