THE REGISTRATION FOR ENTREPRENEURS TO PARTICIPATE IN THE “CREATE OURS” COMPETITION IS CURRENTLY ONGOING

The Agency for Strategic Initiatives (ASI) and the Small and Medium-sized Enterprises Corporation (SME Corporation) have launched the federal youth entrepreneurship competition “Create OURS”. Participants can be young people aged 14 to 28 who wish to start their own business or already have a business that is up to two years old.
Registration is conducted on the digital platform МСП.РФ. Applications can be submitted until March 10th.

MORDOVIA BUSINESS RECEIVED OVER 56 MILLION RUBLES LAST YEAR

For the implementation of the national project “Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises and Support for Individual Entrepreneurial Initiative”, initiated by the President of the Russian Federation and overseen by First Deputy Prime Minister Andrey Belousov, 56.5 million rubles were allocated in 2023, with the majority of funds coming from the federal budget. Thus, over the current and previous years, this amount is expected to increase to nearly 85 million rubles. Speaking of support measures, it is worth mentioning the work of the “My Business” Center, which provides entrepreneurs in the republic with both financial and non-financial assistance.

TWO BRANDS FROM THE REPUBLIC OF MORDOVIA HAVE BECOME WINNERS OF THE “KNOW OURS” COMPETITION

On February 29, at the VEB Center in Moscow, the award ceremony for the winners of the “Know Ours” competition for growing Russian brands took place. Two representatives from the Republic of Mordovia were among them. In the partnership category “Alcoholic Beverages” by SIMPLE, the brand “KEMLYA” emerged as one of the winners. In the special category “Quality of Life”, partnered with Roskachestvo, the brand “Children’s Food Station” took the first place.

MORDOVIA DEVELOPMENT CORPORATION TOOK PART IN THE MEETING OF THE NAAIR.DIGITAL PLATFORM

On February 29th, employees of the Investment Unit of the Mordovia Development Corporation participated via video conferencing in the meeting of the NAAIR.Digital platform. Within the framework of the meeting, methodologies for evaluating regional investment portals and investment maps were discussed as part of the formation of the National Rating of Investment Climate for the year 2024. Additionally, a presentation of the functional capabilities of the investment map of the Russian Federation took place. Issues regarding the compliance of information published on the investment portals of Russian regions with the requirements of federal laws “On Advertising” and “On Protection of Competition” were discussed.

THE IMPLEMENTATION OF A REGIONAL INVESTMENT STANDARD WAS DISCUSSED AT THE HOUSE OF THE REPUBLIC

On February 28th, the Head of Mordovia, Artyom Zdunov, met with members of the Mordovian regional branch of “Business Russia” and the regional investment group. The topic for discussion was the implementation of a regional investment standard developed by the Ministry of Economic Development of the Russian Federation at the instruction of the President of Russia. The regional investment standard aims to reduce administrative barriers for businesses during the implementation of investment projects. In 2021, the Republic entered into the list of 12 pilot regions for its implementation. Last year, the regional investment standard was recognized as implemented in 70 regions of the country, including in Mordovia. The verification of this process is conducted by business associations such as “Business Russia”, the Chamber of Commerce and Industry, and the Russian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs.

A LARGE-SCALE PROCESSTECH 2024 MEETUP ON TECHNOLOGIES FOR IMPROVING BUSINESS PROCESS EFFICIENCY TOOK PLACE

On February 28th, in Moscow, the meetup “ProcessTech 2024: Process Mining and Task Mining Technologies for Enhancing Business Process Efficiency” took place. Representatives from 65 major Russian companies, responsible for enhancing business efficiency in their organizations, participated in the event. The event was organized by Gazprombank.Tech and the Mordovian company Infomaximum, along with the vendor of the active business analytics system, Proceset. The implementation of the product enables companies to assess their current state of affairs, conduct in-depth analysis, and optimize processes/operations across multiple levels simultaneously.

MORDOVIAN SCIENTISTS HAVE FOUND A WAY TO REDUCE THE COST OF LASER ONCOTHERAPY

Specialists from Mordovian State University named after N.P. Ogarev have developed a new method of laser therapy for malignant tumors. According to the new technique, the laser optical fiber is used multiple times, allowing for the reduction of radiation power, which results in significant cost savings. During the procedure, a layer of metal-containing nanoparticles is applied to the surface of the patient's biological tissue, after which laser radiation is applied. At this moment, the surface temperature is monitored using a thermal imager.

OVER THE COURSE OF THREE YEARS, THE NUMBER OF SELF-EMPLOYED INDIVIDUALS IN MORDOVIA HAS INCREASED ALMOST SIXFOLD

The number of individuals in the region applying the special tax regime “Tax on Professional Income” continues to steadily increase. Thanks to the national project “Small and Medium-Sized Entrepreneurship and Support for Individual Entrepreneurial Initiative”, the number of self-employed individuals in Mordovia has already exceeded 21 thousand people, surpassing the 2021 figure by almost six times (3,566 individuals).

MORDOVIA IS THE LAUREATE OF THE RUSSIAN TRAVEL AWARDS

In St. Petersburg, the results of the III Russian Travel Awards were announced. In the category “Region of Cultural and Educational Tourism” Mordovia took third place. The Republic participated in the final of the competition for the first time. In its nomination, our region presented the concept of cultural and educational tourism through the image of the great Mordovian tree.

STATE-OWNED COMPANIES HAVE INCREASED PROCUREMENT FROM SMALL BUSINESSES IN MORDOVIA BY ALMOST A THIRD

The nationwide volume of procurement by the largest customers from small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) reached a record high of 8 trillion rubles by the end of 2023. Thanks to the national project “Small and Medium-Sized Entrepreneurship and Support for Individual Entrepreneurial Initiative,” initiated by the President and supervised by the First Deputy Prime Minister Andrey Belousov, this indicator has significantly increased in our region as well. In comparison with 2022, the growth in Mordovia amounted to 32%, reaching nearly 12.5 billion rubles. It is worth noting that we exceed the nationwide indicator (13.5%) by more than twice in this regard, and the number of SME suppliers has already exceeded 740.

THE MORDOVIAN BOG OAK WILL BE HARVESTED ACCORDING TO THE RUSSIAN NATIONAL STANDARD (GOST) THAT HAS BEEN APPROVED

Rosstandart has announced the registration of a preliminary national standard for the procurement of bog oak (referred to as subfossil wood in the document). This is the world's first document on standardization establishing requirements for such wood. The uniqueness of the “black diamond” was one of the reasons for creating a separate document.

DEPUTY PRIME MINISTER OF THE REPUBLIC OF MORDOVIA BATYR EMEEV ANSWERED QUESTIONS FROM CITIZENS

On February 21, in the “Republic of Mordovia” public group on VKontakte, Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Mordovia, Batyr Emeev, answered questions from citizens. He noted that last year nearly 30 investment projects aimed at modernization and production of high-tech products were implemented in the republic. About 600 jobs were created as a result. This year, approximately 15 investment projects in various sectors are at the implementation stage, with investments totaling around 10 billion rubles.
