ARTYOM ZDUNOV AND THE DIRECTOR GENERAL OF TOURISM.RF, SERGEY SUKHANOV, DISCUSSED THE DEVELOPMENT OF THE TOURISM INFRASTRUCTURE IN MORDOVIA
On December 22 in Moscow, the Head of Mordovia, Artyom Zdunov, met with the Director General of the Tourism.RF corporation, Sergey Sukhanov. They discussed issues related to the development of tourism in the region, including the creation of necessary infrastructure in the Temnikov District within the framework of the pilgrimage-tourist cluster “Sanaksar-Sarov”.
The pilgrimage-tourist cluster project entails a series of activities within the territory of the republic, including the construction of a highway.
The Head of Mordovia provided an update on the progress of the work. The project and estimate documentation for the construction of the road section from the village of Stary Gorod to the village of Veshcherka is ready. This will significantly reduce the distance between the Sanaksar and Seraphim-Diveyevo monasteries.
At the meeting, they discussed the construction of hotels in the pilgrimage-tourist cluster “Sanaksar-Sarov” and in Saransk as part of tourism investment projects approved by the Deputy Prime Minister of Russia, Dmitry Chernyshenko. The work is being carried out within the framework of the national project “Tourism and Hospitality Industry”.
Deputy Chairman of the Government of Mordovia, Batyr Emeev, participated in the meeting.
