BELARUS TOUR OPERATORS CAME WITH A WORKING VISIT TO MORDOVIA
The neighboring country’s tour agents visited Saransk at the invitation of the Mordovian Export Support Center. The main goal of the visit is to attract the tourists from Belarus.
A delegation from a friendly republic arrived in Saransk on 14th of May. There was a 3-day tourist program made for the guests together with the Mordovian Tourist Information Center. It included a traditional introduction to the main attractions of Saransk and Mordovia, a tour of hotels of all categories, and a series of business meetings with the tourist community of Mordovia.
After presenting the Mordovian tourist complex, a B2B meeting was held on 16th of May. The main participants of the meeting were the Saransk tourist industry representatives: tour operators, hoteliers, restaurateurs. During the meeting, the issues of communication were discussed and some plans on receiving tourists in Mordovia were made. The result of a business commission should be a number of agreements concluded between the companies of the parties.
Today, Belarus is one of the top five countries by the number of the travellers to Mordovia. And the potential for further growth of the tourist flow is extremely high. This is facilitated by the absence of customs formalities and the language barrier, as well as the traditionally warm and trusting relations between our peoples.
