Ethnographic Park will open its doors to the residents and guests of Mordovia.
The Ethnographic Park will be builtin Podlesnaya Tavla village and all the guests of Saransk during 2018 FIFA WorldCup will have an opportunity to learn more about life and culture of Mordovianational village.
Podlesnaya Tavla is a motherlandof craftsmen. Since the 1970, when Nikolay Mastin gathered and united talented woodworkers,they have become the pride of Mordovia just as wooden toy has become one of itssymbols.
There is an experimental art schoolin Podlesnaya Tavla where 30 children study the craft today. One can see works ofthe graduates on wooden toys exhibition in Pushkin library in Saransk.
There is also a memorial houseof Vladimir Romashkin in Podlesnaya Tavla. He was a famous Mardovia folklore specialistand musician, founder of Torama folk music group. A lot of tourists visit thehouse. The festival of national Mordovian songs dedicated to Vladimir Romashkin’sbirthday attracts plenty of guests every year.
