JSC BIOKHIMIK EXPANDS OPPORTUNITIES FOR INTERNATIONAL COOPERATION IN EAST ASIA
On June 18, heads of industrial enterprises of the Republic of Mordovia held a meeting with the delegation of the Embassy of Japan in the Russian Federation headed by Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Japan in the Russian Federation Mr. Toyohisa Kozuki.
During the meeting, Executive Director of JSC Biokhimik Dmitry Zemskov told how the plant managed to launch a full production cycle of modern antibiotics in record time.
In 2017, the experts of Biokhimik laboratories received the first substance for vancomycin. In February 2018, the plant started its industrial production: from substance to ready product.
By the end of 2018, Vancomycin will be supplied to the medical establishments of Russia and in the future to Latin America and Vietnam, where the company has opened sales offices.
Dmitry Zemskov said that Biokhimik is open for cooperation with foreign partners in the field of joint research projects, technology transfer and the provision of industrial sites of the company for contract manufacturing.
Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Japan in Russia has expressed his interest in the projects of Biokhimik that have already been implemented, such as full cycle production of antibiotics, as well as in the future projects.
Mr. Kozuki noted that Japanese companies actively participate in Russian pharmaceutical projects and are ready for further fruitful cooperation. Given the mutual penetration of the Asian and Russian markets, both parties expressed their readiness for further mutually beneficial cooperation in the pharmaceutical industry.
