MORDOVIA EXTENDS COOPERATION WITH CUBA
Mordovia and Cuba plan to extend their cooperation. Now it will be not only supply of industrial products to Cuba. The high education establishments of Mordovia are ready to accept students from Cuba.
The discussion of economic and humanitarian cooperation took place during the meeting in the Embassy of Cuba. Alexander Sedov, Deputy Prime-Minister, Minister of industry, science and new technologies, was the head of Mordovia delegation.
The Cubans are especially interested in training of specialists in car-building, machine-building, agricultural engineering, power industry, IT and medicine. During the meeting, they also discussed projects on modernization of lighting and power efficiency with the participation of Mordovian companies.
Earlier the issue was discussed during the meeting of Head of Mordovia Vladimir Volkov with Cuban Ambassador to Russia Gerardo Penalver Portal. Vladimir Volkov noted that the contract for supply of railcars to Cuba helped car-building industry of Mordovia to find new markets.
A representative of Cuba noted that cooperation can be widened. So, there are great cooperation opportunities in such areas as lighting engineering, cable industry, education and culture.
