MORDOVIA HELD ITS POSITION IN THE RATING OF PUBLIC-PRIVATE PARTNERSHIP DEVELOPMENT
Mordovia has maintained its position in the Russian subjects ranking on the development of public-private partnership (PPP). For the second year in a row the region ranks 42nd. The results were presented at the 6th Congress on Infrastructure “Russian PPP Week” held in Moscow.
Sergey Nesterov, Deputy General Director of the Mordovian Development Corporation, head of the PPP Center, also participated in the forum. Commenting on the results of the rating, he noted that a lot of work has been done in the field of PPP over the last year in the Republic of Mordovia - the institutional environment development, the legal and regulatory framework of the region, the increasing of the level of competence in the field of PPP of the state and municipal employees.
As of today, 44 projects are being implemented in Mordovia using PPP tools: 4 concession agreements, 2 energy service contracts, 38 projects under agreements on socio-economic cooperation on heat supply facilities. The total of private investments is 2 102.08 million rubles.
The level of development of public-private partnership is one of the indicators of the National rating on the regional investment climate situation. The rating is formed by the Agency for Strategic Initiatives.
