MORDOVIA IS IN TOP 5 REGIONS OF RUSSIA IN REGARDS OF THE LATEST TECHNOLOGIES APPLICATION
The Center of Regional Economic Study has compiled the rating based on the data from Russian Federal State Statistics service.
In the study it is noted that the efficiency indicator of Mordovia is higher than the one of Moscow, Saint-Petersburg as well as Moscow and Leningrad regions. In 2016 the Mordovia’s indicator was 3.5 innovative technologies for one thousand people.
For information, the average indicator in Russia is 1.58 for one thousand people. The leaders of the rating are Chukotka Autonomous Okrug (8.23), Magadan region (4.7), and Vladimir region (3.8).
Today 93 percent of Mordovia’s industrial goods are produced in newly established enterprises or enterprises that have been modernized within the last ten years.
The share of innovative products is 30 percent. This is one of the best results among Russian regions.
August 16, during the meeting with the Prime Minister of Russia Dmitry Medvedev, interim Head of the Republic of Mordovia Vladimir Volkov pointed out that the results of the first seven months of 2017 are rather good. Index of industrial production is 113 percent, capital investments has increased by 18 percent, export of goods produced in Mordovia has grown by 2.5 times.
