Mordovia is in top-5 regions with maximum social and political stability

According to the survey conducted by the Saint-Petersburg Politics Fund in April, Mordovia takes the fifth position in the group of regions with maximum social and political stability.

The main event that positively influenced the assessment of the situation in Mordovia was the decision of the Russian President Vladimir Putin to appoint Vladimir Volkov as acting head of the republic until the elections in September of this year. At the meeting in Kremlin, the President expressed his hope that Vladimir Volkov could conduct an appropriate election campaign and continue his work.

Another significant event was the meeting of the leader of the republic with investors from Israel, who plan to cooperate with Mordovia in the field of agro-industrial production. According to Vladimir Volkov cooperation with Israel partners will help to strengthen the agrarian sector of the republic.

“Agriculture is a dynamically developing and very promising branch of the economy of the republic, one of the best in Russia. The share of agribusiness in the gross regional product is 13.5 percent, which is 2.5 times higher than the national average. Mordovia steadily holds the leading positions among the regions of the Volga Federal District and the Russian Federation in terms of the output of agricultural production per capita. Today more than 60 percent of our products are sold outside the republic. This is a significant contribution of the agrarians of Mordovia in ensuring the food security of the country and import substitution in the food market. We set serious goals to continue increasing production in the agribusiness," - said the acting Head of the Republic of Mordovia.

Belgorod Region, Yamalo-Nenets and Chukotka Autonomous Okrugs take the first three lines of the rating.
