MORDOVIA IS THE 7TH AMONG THE REGIONS OF RUSSIA IN SOCIAL AND POLITICAL STABILITY
At the end of January Mordovia improved its position in the rating of regions with maximum social and political stability. The republic shifted from the eighth position to the seventh.
The results were published in the research of the St. Petersburg Politics Fund. Belgorod region, Chukotka Autonomous Okrug and Kaluga region are the leaders of the rating.
The Fund’s analysts traditionally refer to several significant events, which took place in the republic last month. First, they mentioned the meeting of Head of Mordovia Vladimir Volkov with Hungarian businessmen. During the meeting they discussed implementation of an investment project on agricultural production and processing. The head of the region pointed out that the investors, who implement their projects in Mordovia obtain tax incentives and other benefits.
Another significant event was the discussion of plans for Biokhimik develoment with the Chairman of OOO Promomed management company Petr Bely. The project on development and production of fifth-generation antibiotics is of great importance for the whole country.
One more major positive event of January was the opening ceremony of Centre of ethnic culture and folk crafts in the town of Kochkurovo.
