MORDOVIA SIGNS AN AGREEMENT ON COOPERATION WITH CHINESE PARTNERS
The Government of the Republic of Mordovia and People’s Government of Sichuan Province signed a bilateral agreement on cooperation in trade and economics, science and technology, arts and humanities during the second Council meeting on cooperation between the regions of the Volga Federal District and the upper and middle reaches of Yangtze River of the People's Republic of China.
The second Council meeting on cooperation between the regions of the Volga Federal District and the upper and middle reaches of Yangtze River of the People's Republic of China took place in the city of Hefei.
The Russian delegation was headed by Presidential Plenipotentiary Envoy to the Volga Federal District Mikhail Babich. The Republic of Mordovia was represented by Chairman of the Government Vladimir Sushkov.
In his speech Mikhail Babich pointed out that there are 27 agreements signed between Russian and Chinese partners within Volga-Yangtze cooperation. They result in particular economic projects, newly established companies, humanitarian cooperation, students’ exchange and annual youth forums.
Mikhail Babich mentioned such areas of bilateral cooperation as agriculture, food production, construction materials production, development of residential and commercial real estate, equipment manufacturing, travel industry and IT.
Participants of the Council meeting discussed the current state and future development of the cooperation in trade, economic and humanitarian areas between the regions of Volga and Yangtze rivers.
As a result of the Second Council meeting on cooperation between the regions of the Volga Federal District and the upper and middle reaches of Yangtze River of the People's Republic of China there were signed 11 agreements on cooperation.
The Government of the Republic of Mordovia and People’s Government of Sichuan Province also signed a bilateral agreement on cooperation in trade and economics, science and technology, arts and humanities.
There is no doubt that the cooperation between the regions of Volga and Yangtze rivers contributes to their economic development, expansion of scientific, educational and cultural ties, as well as the extension of friendship between the peoples.
