OVER THE COURSE OF THREE YEARS, THE NUMBER OF SELF-EMPLOYED INDIVIDUALS IN MORDOVIA HAS INCREASED ALMOST SIXFOLD
The number of individuals in the region applying the special tax regime “Tax on Professional Income” continues to steadily increase. Thanks to the national project “Small and Medium-Sized Entrepreneurship and Support for Individual Entrepreneurial Initiative”, the number of self-employed individuals in Mordovia has already exceeded 21 thousand people, surpassing the 2021 figure by almost six times (3,566 individuals).
Thanks to the implementation of the national project, the number of people deciding to start a business in the republic is also increasing. Over the past three years, the number of small and medium-sized businesses has increased by almost 20%. Since the beginning of 2021, their number has increased by almost 4 thousand and reached 23,736 entities, while the number of employees in the SME sector has exceeded 102 thousand.
