RUZAEVKA OBTAINS THE STATUS OF PRIORITY SOCIAL AND ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT AREA
On September 27, 2017 the Government of the Russian Federation issued Decree No. 1165 according to which Ruzaevka obtained the status of priority social and economic development area.
It became one the first single industry towns of the second category to obtain the status. Before the status could be granted only to single industry towns of the first category.
The status of priority social and economic development area will contribute to economic diversification of the town, attracting investments and jobs creation.
Now the Mordovia Government establishes project office and makes necessary amendments to the regional legislation. It should take no more than one month.
The status was also granted to Sarapul (the Udmurt Republic), Petrovsk (Saratov region) and Tutaev (Yaroslavl region).
