THE CONGRESS OF FARMERS OF MORDOVIA WAS HELD IN SARANSK
On January 12, the first Congress of Farmers of the Republic of Mordovia was held on the basis of the Agrarian Institute of the Mordovian State University named after N.P. Ogarev. The participants of this important event were welcomed by the Head of Mordovia, Artyom Zdunov.
The Head of the republic noted the importance of livestock farming. Since 2018, the number of cattle in the republic's farms has decreased by almost 2 thousand heads annually. Last year, such a sharp decline was stopped. The Ministry of Agriculture, together with the university, will have to figure this out and propose ways to solve the problem.
In 2023, 250 million rubles were allocated to support small businesses – this is one and a half times more than a year earlier.
The Head of the region set the task for the participants of the congress to work out as productively as possible, to outline the main directions for the development of the farming movement.
