THE DEVELOPMENT OF COOPERATION BETWEEN MORDOVIA AND KAZAKHSTAN WAS DISCUSSED AT THE HOUSE OF THE REPUBLIC
On December 15, the Head of Mordovia, Artyom Zdunov, met with the Consul General of the Republic of Kazakhstan in Kazan, Erlan Iskakov. Issues of developing comprehensive cooperation were discussed.
Erlan Iskakov emphasized that Russia is a strategic partner for Kazakhstan: “I consider it important to increase our cooperation with Mordovia in the industrial and agricultural spheres, cultural and humanitarian interaction, as well as to develop the transport and logistics sector.”
It was noted that about 8 thousand representatives of the Mordovian diaspora live in Kazakhstan.
The Consul General said that Kazakhstan is developing the institution of an honorary consulate in our country, and made a proposal to establish the post of honorary consul of Kazakhstan in Mordovia. The scope of his activities includes interaction on the economic side.
The parties also agreed to conduct bilateral business missions and the participation of the republic in international forums held in Kazakhstan, in particular in the Astana Economic Forum.
