THE GOVERNMENT OF THE RUSSIAN FEDERATION APPROVED CHANGES IN THE WORK OF PSEDA

The Government of the Russian Federation has expanded the list of types of economic activities available to investors of the priority social and economic development areas (PSEDA) created in single-industry towns. This decision will attract additional investments into the development of such areas, stimulate the implementation of significant projects, and create new jobs.

Now residents of priority development areas in single-industry towns will be able to engage in any activity, with the exception of some of its types. Among such exceptions are the production of excisable goods, logging, wholesale and retail trade, financial services, insurance, rent, leasing, the activities of land, water and air transport companies. Previously, for each of these areas located in single-industry towns, there was a strictly defined list of permitted activities.

In this way, equal competitive opportunities will be created for all priority social and economic development areas in single-industry towns.
