THE MINISTRY OF ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT OF RUSSIA HAS LAUNCHED AN ACCELERATOR TO PROMOTE RUSSIAN EXPORT
Within the implementation of the national project on development of labour productivity and boosting employment, the Ministry of Economic Development of Russia has initiated the creation of the first accelerator to support export. "Export marathon" has been designed and launched together with the school of export of the Russian Export Center.
Experts of the program will provide full support to companies entering foreign markets through training, mentoring and expert support. Every company participating in the program can receive a rapid consultation from its personal mentor. The mentors have expertise in such areas as search and evaluation of potential buyers, preparation of companies and goods for export and export marketing. The criterion for successful accelerator will be the conclusion of new export contracts for six months after completion of the training.
45 managers from 13 companies participating in the national project were selected for the marathon. Now leading experts and coaches of the Russian Export Center, Skolkovo, the Higher School of Economics and the Russian Academy for Foreign Trade are working with them.
In her welcoming speech to the participants of the program, Yulia Urozhaeva, assistant of Minister of economic development of Russia, said: "Development of export potential is one of the main ways to higher labour productivity. Many of you have already made serious steps to start export and are familiar with the measures of support. An objective of the accelerator and the marathons is to provide specific knowledge and teach how to apply it. It will significantly increase the export opportunities of your companies."
