THE NATIONAL PROJECT HELPED MORDOVIA BECOME A LEADER IN THE COUNTRY IN TERMS OF THE GROWTH OF SMALL AND MEDIUM-SIZED BUSINESSES
The growth rate of the number of small and medium-sized enterprises in Mordovia exceeds the overall Russian indicators by more than two times. This became known following the December update, the last one this year, of the Unified Register of SMEs, which includes 6.3 million entities.
It is worth noting that the number of registered SMEs is one of the key indicators of the national project “Small and Medium-sized Entrepreneurship and Support for Individual Entrepreneurial Initiative”.
As of today, there are 23,174 representatives of small and medium-sized businesses in Mordovia. This is 13.6% more than the same period in 2022 and 12.4% higher than the corresponding period in 2019. Among the registered SMEs in the region, there are 6,118 legal entities and 17,056 individual entrepreneurs.
Traditionally, the leader in the number of SMEs is the Central Federal District, followed by the Volga Federal District in the second place, and the Southern Federal District completes the top three.
