On October 19, a meeting between the President of the Republic of Belarus Aleksandr Lukashenko and the Head of Mordovia Artyom Zdunov took place at the Palace of Independence. Last year, the parties achieved a record trade turnover of almost $90 million. But already by the end of eight months of 2023 they significantly exceeded it – the growth rate was almost 300%, or $115.7 million.
MORDOVIA AND BELARUS WILL IMPLEMENT JOINT PROJECTS
On October 19, the Head of Mordovia Artyom Zdunov met with Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Belarus Leonid Zayats in Minsk. At the meeting, specific steps in areas of bilateral cooperation were discussed. In particular, they discussed increasing the volume of consumption of Mordovian optical fiber by cable industry enterprises of the Republic of Belarus, developing industrial cooperation, cooperation in the field of biotechnology, and opening direct flights between Saransk and Minsk.
TRADE TURNOVER BETWEEN MORDOVIA AND BELARUS HAS REACHED THE HIGHEST LEVEL SINCE 2016
On October 18, a meeting of the working group on cooperation between the Republic of Belarus and the Republic of Mordovia of the Russian Federation was held in Minsk. It was attended by representatives of the Government of Belarus and members of the delegation of Mordovia, including the Head of Mordovia Artyom Zdunov, Deputy Prime Ministers Natalya Tarkaeva, Insaf Khairullin, Batyr Emeev, heads of most ministries of the Republic.
THE EVENT TOURISM DEVELOPMENT WAS DISCUSSED IN SARANSK
Employees of the Center for Support of Social Projects and Tourism Programs of the Mordovia Development Corporation took part in the expert session, which was held at the Mordovia Arena stadium. Its participants also included experts not only from the republic, but also from other regions of Russia. The business event took place in Saransk as part of the Final of the Russian Event Awards in the field of event tourism in the Volga and Ural Federal Districts.
MORDOVIA WILL EXPAND COOPERATION WITH INDUSTRIAL ENTERPRISES OF BELARUS
On October 17, as part of a working visit to the Republic of Belarus, the Head of Mordovia Artyom Zdunov held a number of business meetings with representatives of the country’s industrial sector. Deputy Prime Ministers of the Republic of Mordovia Natalya Tarkaeva, Batyr Emeev and Insaf Khairullin, supervising ministers and representatives of the business community of Mordovia took part in the discussion of issues of bilateral cooperation.
Mordovia Development Corporation became a partner of the Final of the district stage of the International Award in the field of event tourism Russian Event Awards of the Volga and Ural Federal Districts. The event was held in Saransk from October 15 to 17. 195 projects from 18 regions were submitted for evaluation by the expert council. Participants who won prizes received not only laureate diplomas, but also the opportunity to take part in the International Final, where projects from all over Russia and beyond will be presented.
On October 5, the IV Congress of regional investment agencies and development corporations opened in Tula. Sergey Sergeev, Director General of the Mordovia Development Corporation, takes part in its work.

MORDOVIA DEVELOPMENT CORPORATION TAKES PART IN THE RUSSIAN PPP WEEK
The X Infrastructure Congress «Russian PPP Week» is taking place in Moscow from September 26 to 29. The event is attended by representatives of the Mordovia Development Corporation: Vyacheslav Chudaykin, Deputy Director General for Public-Private Partnership and Administrative Work and Tatiana Afonina, Deputy Head of the Department of Public-Private Partnership and Administrative Work.
THE FIRST INTERNATIONAL SEZ FORUM WILL BE HELD IN RUSSIA
The first International Forum of Special Economic Zones - 2023 will be held in Lipetsk on September 28-30. The Forum will become an international platform that will bring together representatives of Armenia, Belarus, Iran, Uzbekistan, the UAE and Tajikistan to exchange experience and create promising partnerships. As expected, the event will include business meetings and negotiations with Russian and foreign investors to create strong business ties and implement investment projects.

It is being implemented in preparation for the International Exhibition-Forum «Russia», which will be held in Moscow at VDNKh from November 4, 2023 to April 12, 2024. Everyone can vote on the website for the region's achievements in different areas: industry, sports, science, social sphere and others. The Republic is represented by 16 projects.
