THE AGRARIANS OF MORDOVIA SET A NEW RECORD OF 2 MILLION TONS OF GRAIN

In Mordovia, the absolute record of the gross harvest of grain and leguminous crops has been broken. The historical mark of 2 million tons has been overcome. Harvesting work has not yet been completed, which allows us to predict an increase in this indicator.

MORDOVIA DEVELOPMENT CORPORATION TOOK PART IN A TRAINING SEMINAR

Mordovia Development Corporation took part in the training seminar “Regional brands of Russia – new points of growth”. At the event, specialists of Rospatent and FIIP told representatives of the regional business community not only about such intellectual property objects as geographical indication (GI) and appellation of origin of goods (AOO), but also explained the competitive advantages that enterprises receive by registering these designations.

MORDOVIA DEVELOPMENT CORPORATION BECAME A CO-ORGANIZER OF THE STRATEGIC SESSION OF THE DOM.RF DELEGATION

The Head of the Center for Support of Social Projects and Tourism Programs, Sergei Kochevatov, took part in accompanying the DOM.RF delegation. Specialists studied cultural heritage sites, and also examined the iconic tourist sites of the Temnikovsky municipal district of Mordovia.

Sergei Sergeev, General Director of the Mordovia Development Corporation held a working meeting with Aleksandr Ruchin, the Director of the Federal State Budgetary Institution “Zapovednaya Mordovia”. The implementation of tourism and marketing projects on the territory of the Temnikovsky and Ichalkovsky nature reserves planned in the framework of joint activities was discussed.

MORDOVIA DEVELOPMENT CORPORATION HAS SIGNED AN AGREEMENT WITH THE ATYASHEVSKY MUNICIPAL DISTRICT

Mordovia Development Corporation and the Administration of the Atyashevsky Municipal District have signed an agreement on the development of tourism. Its implementation involves joint work to increase the tourist attractiveness of the district. As part of joint activities, it is planned to create tourism projects and develop new routes. At the same time, it is planned to develop existing points of attraction, as well as to hold a strategic session with the involvement of local and nonresident tour operators.

MORDOVIA HAS ENTERED THE TOP-5 REGIONS IN TERMS OF INCREASING ATTRACTIVENESS FOR TOURISTS

Mordovia has become one of the best new destinations for tourist trips in Russia. This rating was published by the Yandex.Travel service based on the results of studying hotel booking data in the autumn of 2022 and 2023.  The top was headed by Ingushetia – an increase of 200%; Oryol Oblast – 100%; Adygea – 54%; Mordovia – 50%; and Karachay-Cherkessia – 46%.

MORDOVIA DEVELOPMENT CORPORATION PAYS A BUSINESS VISIT TO RYAZAN

From October 20 to 21, the Center for Support of Social Projects and Tourism Programs of the Mordovia Development Corporation paid a business visit to Ryazan. The purpose of the trip is to study the features of work to promote the tourism sector of the region. During the visit, meetings were held with employees of the regional Tourist Information Center and the Tourism Development Agency of the Ryazan Oblast. They shared with the guests from Mordovia the nuances of the work on promoting the region and their experience in this matter.

"EXPERT RA" HAS PUBLISHED A RATING OF INVESTMENT ATTRACTIVENESS OF REGIONS

The "Expert RA" rating agency has published another study of the level of investment attractiveness of regions based on the results of 2022. Regions are divided into seven groups. These are A-1, A-2, A-3, B-1, B-2, B-3 and C. The Republic of Mordovia entered group B-2.

A MEETING BETWEEN THE PRESIDENT OF THE REPUBLIC OF BELARUS ALEKSANDR LUKASHENKO AND THE HEAD OF MORDOVIA ARTYOM ZDUNOV TOOK PLACE IN MINSK

On October 19, a meeting between the President of the Republic of Belarus Aleksandr Lukashenko and the Head of Mordovia Artyom Zdunov took place at the Palace of Independence. Last year, the parties achieved a record trade turnover of almost $90 million. But already by the end of eight months of 2023 they significantly exceeded it – the growth rate was almost 300%, or $115.7 million.

MORDOVIA AND BELARUS WILL IMPLEMENT JOINT PROJECTS

On October 19, the Head of Mordovia Artyom Zdunov met with Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Belarus Leonid Zayats in Minsk. At the meeting, specific steps in areas of bilateral cooperation were discussed. In particular, they discussed increasing the volume of consumption of Mordovian optical fiber by cable industry enterprises of the Republic of Belarus, developing industrial cooperation, cooperation in the field of biotechnology, and opening direct flights between Saransk and Minsk.

TRADE TURNOVER BETWEEN MORDOVIA AND BELARUS HAS REACHED THE HIGHEST LEVEL SINCE 2016

On October 18, a meeting of the working group on cooperation between the Republic of Belarus and the Republic of Mordovia of the Russian Federation was held in Minsk. It was attended by representatives of the Government of Belarus and members of the delegation of Mordovia, including the Head of Mordovia Artyom Zdunov, Deputy Prime Ministers Natalya Tarkaeva, Insaf Khairullin, Batyr Emeev, heads of most ministries of the Republic.

THE EVENT TOURISM DEVELOPMENT WAS DISCUSSED IN SARANSK

Employees of the Center for Support of Social Projects and Tourism Programs of the Mordovia Development Corporation took part in the expert session, which was held at the Mordovia Arena stadium. Its participants also included experts not only from the republic, but also from other regions of Russia. The business event took place in Saransk as part of the Final of the Russian Event Awards in the field of event tourism in the Volga and Ural Federal Districts.
