A COMMUNITY OF MUNICIPAL INVESTMENT COMMISSIONERS IS BEING FORMED IN RUSSIA
In Russia, a community of municipal investment commissioners is being formed. This was announced by the Executive Director of the National Association of Investment and Development Agencies (NAIDA), Rafael Khusyainshin.
“Now, special attention is being paid to the issues of building a system for working with investors at the local level - in municipalities”, he emphasized. “A special role is assigned to municipal investment commissioners. In their work, they require a wide range of skills and competencies: understanding the principles of government bodies' operation, business structures, language proficiency, understanding of investment and other financial processes, sectoral knowledge, and so on. To form a community of municipal investment commissioners, NAIDA, together with the Ministry of Economic Development of Russia and the Government of the Tyumen Region, will hold a Municipal Investment Forum, which will kick off a series of specialized events for municipal entities in 2024”.
