A NEW CORONAVIRUS DRUG WILL BE RELEASED IN MORDOVIA
The Ministry of Health has registered a new drug «Esperavir» from COVID-19. This is the first drug based on molnupiravir. It will be produced by the Russian company Promomed.
The drug has already passed clinical trials. The Saransk plant Biokhimik was entrusted to produce the drug in the form of capsules. Esperavir contains two molecules that act differently on the virus. They simultaneously suppress it and prevent it from developing further in the body.
According to representatives of Promomed, this dosage form has been well studied abroad and it is completely safe. Moreover, it helps to reduce the risks of deterioration of patients. This reduces mortality by almost 50%. Now doctors will be able to select therapy for each patient, taking into account concomitant diseases.
