A NEW RAILWAY CARRIAGE FOR THE TRANSPORTATION OF CARBON BLACK WAS CERTIFIED IN MORDOVIA
In the Republic of Mordovia, a new railway carriage for the transportation of carbon black with precipitation protection, model 25-1236, was certified. There are no analogues of this model in Russia, said Alexander Kulikov, Deputy General Director for Sales of «RM Rail».
According to the official website of the company, the carrying capacity of the model is 67 tons (+7 tons in comparison with similar models), the body volume is at least 150 cubic meters. m (+3 cubic meters), the service life is 32 years.
The car is equipped with 12 loading and 8 unloading hatches. The unloading mechanism is equipped with butterfly valves. The product is unloaded into the inter-rail space. The overall dimensions of the loading and unloading hatches and their location on the car are unified with the design of the hatches on previously produced car models for the transportation of carbon black and do not require reconfiguration of the existing infrastructure.
Carbon black is a completely new product for «RM Rail», for the transportation of which the rolling stock model was created. The hopper's customer is a manufacturer of raw materials, which plans to increase its own fleet by adding wagons with increased body volume and carrying capacity.
