A SPECIAL ECONOMIC ZONE WILL BE CREATED IN THE REPUBLIC OF MORDOVIA
At the meeting of the interdepartmental working group on the creation of special economic zones (SEZs) and territories of advanced socio-economic development in single-industry towns, held under the leadership of Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation and the Plenipotentiary Representative of the President of the Russian Federation in the Far Eastern Federal District Yury Trutnev, the creation of two new industrial-type SEZs was supported: “Emmauss” in the Tver region and “Sistema” in the Republic of Mordovia.
“Projects of great importance for the development of our country's economy are planned to be implemented in future new special economic zones. These include the production of high-tech parts for turbomachines, the production of fiber optics, as well as domestic cable cars,” Yury Trutnev said.
The “Sistema” SEZ in Mordovia will be located at two sites: in Saransk and in the Lyambirsky district. It is planned to implement a number of high-tech projects here. Residents are ready to create more than 760 new jobs.
