A WORKING GROUP UNDER THE MINISTRY OF ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT OF THE RUSSIAN FEDERATION WILL BE ENGAGED IN THE DEVELOPMENT OF SMALL TOWNS IN RUSSIA
A meeting on supporting investments in the development of small towns in the country was held in the Government of the Russian Federation. It was chaired by Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Alexander Novak.
The Deputy Prime Minister instructed to create a working group under the Ministry of Economic Development of the Russian Federation on the development of small towns and rural settlements with the participation of federal and regional authorities. During its work, it is planned to adapt the mechanisms for financing investment projects with the creation of new jobs to the conditions of application in small towns and rural settlements, provide for expenses for industrial mortgages, integrate small towns into the Industrial Development Fund programs and national projects for the development of small and medium-sized businesses, as well as individual entrepreneurship.
The result should be an increase in the attractiveness of small towns in Russia for the life of citizens, the development of entrepreneurship and industry, the creation of conditions for attracting investment in such territories.
