A working meeting was held between Maxim Reshetnikov, Minister of Economic Development of Russia, and Artem Zdunov, Head of the Republic of Mordovia
On June 19, in Moscow, Artem Zdunov, Head of the Republic of Mordovia, met with Maxim Reshetnikov, Minister of Economic Development of the Russian Federation. They discussed the implementation of a number of projects in the republic aimed at increasing the region’s investment attractiveness, including the creation of business parks and an industrial technopark.
It was noted that Mordovia, with the support of the Ministry of Economic Development of the Russian Federation, is actively building up its investment potential. This year, the republic ranked eighth in the National Rating of the Investment Climate in the Regions; the results were announced at SPIEF‑2026. In 2025, the volume of investments in Mordovia amounted to almost 98 billion rubles. In terms of investment growth rate, the region, with an indicator of 101.7 %, ranks 26th in Russia and 3rd in the Volga Federal District. This is above the national average. Today, 56 major projects with a total investment volume of about 140 billion rubles are being implemented or planned in Mordovia. Their launch will create more than 3,400 new jobs.
Currently, 6 residents are registered in the “Sistema” special economic zone of the industrial and production type, and the investment volume has reached 1.8 billion rubles.
Major investment projects are being implemented within the “Ruzaevka” Advanced Development Territory: there are 16 organizations among the residents, with investment projects under which nearly 12 billion rubles have been invested so far, and more than 1,800 jobs have been created.
Artem Zdunov and Maxim Reshetnikov discussed the possibility of creating a business park on the site of the special economic zone, as well as another business park and an industrial technopark in the capital of Mordovia. They also talked about the possibility of federal support for the republic’s projects for the construction of engineering infrastructure, including for investment projects aimed at enhancing the country’s technological sovereignty.
