Artem Zdunov and Sergey Dankvert discussed cooperation between the Republic of Mordovia and the Rosselkhoznadzor
In Moscow, the Head of Mordovia, Artem Zdunov, met with Sergey Dankvert, Head of the Federal Service for Veterinary and Phytosanitary Surveillance. The parties discussed cooperation and compliance with veterinary and phytosanitary legislation requirements.
Artem Zdunov said that the support from the Rosselkhoznadzor helps to increase the export of agro‑industrial complex products from Mordovia and strengthen the position of these products in foreign markets.
The region fully meets its own needs for basic food products and has significant export potential. For certain types of products, 40 to 80 % of total production volume is shipped outside the region.
Last year, agro‑industrial enterprises of the republic exported 72.3 thousand tonnes of products — including poultry meat and pork, rapeseed oil, dairy products, sausage products, pet food, and others. The main export destinations are Kazakhstan, Belarus, Uzbekistan, Vietnam, and China.
Particular attention was paid to the results of the recent business mission of the Mordovia delegation to Uzbekistan, during which agreements were reached on supplying skimmed milk powder, whey, and cattle from our republic.
Sergey Dankvert noted the involvement of the regional authorities in the work of the subject’s veterinary service.
In conclusion, the parties agreed to develop cooperation and maintain a constructive dialogue in addressing the issues.
