Artem Zdunov met with Alexander Shokhin, President of the RSPP
On September 17, the Head of Mordovia, Artem Zdunov, held a meeting with Alexander Shokhin, President of the Russian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs (RSPP), who arrived in the republic on a working trip.
The meeting focused on cooperation to promote business development in the region. It should be recalled that there is a cooperation agreement in place between the Republic of Mordovia, the Russian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs, and the Republican Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs.
“Thank you for paying attention to our republic,” said Artem Zdunov. “The RSPP is very actively represented here. We have set a course towards investment, opening new production facilities, and creating new jobs.”
Five years ago, the republic faced the problem of low wages at enterprises. By working closely with management teams, the Mordovia team managed to overcome this challenge. The Head of the republic participates in business missions and trade exhibitions together with representatives of the business community.
“We have moved the issue forward: wages have started to rise, and people are returning — many of them used to work on rotational shifts in Moscow. And this, by the way, has an impact on family policy. We are fulfilling our production targets and closely monitoring the investment volume indicator. I keep all issues related to business protection under my personal supervision,” the Head of Mordovia emphasized.
Alexander Shokhin particularly noted the development of the regional agro‑industrial complex. “The agricultural sector of the Republic of Mordovia looks very strong compared to other regions of the Russian Federation. There are many technologies in the processing of agricultural products, in the development of new production facilities, including those that contribute to active longevity. This is now one of the priority areas both for the state and for employers, because it is necessary to preserve the health of the working population. Today we are discussing how to ensure the reproduction of a healthy population through the production of environmentally friendly products. And here, Mordovia sets a good example. I would like to thank you for creating a favourable business climate in the region.”
The meeting addressed areas for further cooperation.
