On May 15, on the sidelines of the XVI International Economic Forum "Russia - Islamic World: KazanForum", the Head of Mordovia Artyom Zdunov held a meeting with the Deputy Minister of Industry and Technology of the Republic of Turkey Mohammad Kassym Genullu.
The Republic of Turkey is one of the main trading partners of the Republic of Mordovia, and the region is interested in further strengthening and expanding trade and economic cooperation. In 2024, the trade turnover between Mordovia and the Republic of Turkey amounted to 11 million US dollars.
During the meeting, issues of supplying products from Mordovian enterprises to the Turkish Republic were discussed. The Turkish side was particularly interested in flexible solar panels and repair shops, which can be produced on the chassis of various vehicles. The parties agreed to continue business contacts and further enter into joint mutually beneficial projects.
The Head of Mordovia invited his Turkish colleagues to visit the republic on a business mission for a more substantive acquaintance with the industrial and investment potential of the region.
