ARTYOM ZDUNOV WAS APPOINTED INTERIM HEAD OF THE REPUBLIC OF MORDOVIA
The President held a working meeting with Artyom Zdunov, where he announced his decision to appoint the latter as interim Head of the Republic of Mordovia, the Kremlin press service reports.
Let us recall that Vladimir Volkov addressed the President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin with a request to resign from the post of Head of the Republic of Mordovia today. The decree on early termination of powers has been signed.
In particular, it says:
"In relation to the statement of the Head of the Republic of Mordovia Vladimir Volkov on the early termination of powers and in accordance with subparagraph “c” of paragraph 1 and subparagraph “a” of paragraph 9 of Article 19 of the Federal Law No. 184-FZ of October 6, 1999 “On general principles of organization of legislative (representative) and executive authorities of the constituent entities of the Russian Federation”, I decree:
1. To accept the voluntary resignation of the Head of the Republic of Mordovia Vladimir Volkov.
2. To appoint Artyom Zdunov as interim Head of the Republic of Mordovia until the elected Head of the Republic of Mordovia takes office.
3. The Decree comes into effect from the date of its signing.
