In Mordovia, the number of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) is growing
The number of registered small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in Russia, according to the latest update of the SME registry, set a record exceeding 6.57 million. The total number of self-employed individuals reached 10.2 million. The trend of increasing the number of entrepreneurs continues. By the end of 2023, the number of SMEs grew to 6.35 million, marking a 5.9% increase compared to 2022.
Mordovia also shows significant growth. Thanks to the national project "Small and Medium Entrepreneurship and Support for Individual Entrepreneurial Initiative", according to the latest data from the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Entrepreneurship of the Republic of Mordovia, the number of SMEs has reached 24,585.
According to the Ministry of Economy of the Republic of Mordovia, the number of legal entities in the region has exceeded 6,200. There has also been a significant increase in the number of individual entrepreneurs. As of June, representatives of this category of small and medium-sized businesses in the republic amount to over 18,300. Self-employment has gained particular popularity among the population, with more than 25,800 residents of Mordovia currently engaged in this form of entrepreneurial activity.
