Investment activity in agriculture has increased in Mordovia

In August, livestock enterprises in the Volga‑Vyatka macroregion moderately assessed the demand for and output of their products for the coming months. At the same time, the implementation of investment projects in the sector continued. This is stated in the latest issue of the Bank of Russia’s report “Regional Economy: Comments by the Main Directorates”. The report is available at the followinglink.

For example, projects for the construction of pig‑breeding complexes are underway in Mordovia. According to Rosstat, in the region, the volume of investments in fixed assets (buildings, structures, machinery, equipment, etc.) in agriculture grew by 40 % in the first half of 2026 compared to the same period last year.

In Mordovia, agricultural enterprises participating in the Bank of Russia surveys reported in August that they expect an increase in the output of their products and in demand for them in the coming months.

More details on the situation in various sectors of the economy can be found in the September issue of the Bank of Russia’s report “Regional Economy: Comments by the Main Directorates”. The special topics of the issue are regional budgets, small and medium‑sized businesses, and the market for paid services. The Bank of Russia takes the information from the report into account when making decisions on the key rate. In preparing each issue, the regulator uses, among other things, data from monthly surveys of non‑financial enterprises.
