LEAN TECHNOLOGIES HELP OPTIMIZE THE PRODUCTION PROCESS IN MORDOVIA'S ENTERPRISES
As part of the Labor Productivity national project enterprises in Mordovia are implementing lean production technologies. This system enables an increase in labor productivity without additional investments. Representatives from the Regional Competence Center assist in minimizing costs and increasing profits.
During the implementation of the national project, rationalization activities have become an integral part of the culture among its participants. One example is the optimization of the production process at the Saransk plant Rezinotekhnika. Employees at the plant managed to reduce the cost of production by eliminating thread overuse on winding machines.
In the production of hoses with thread reinforcement, the plant used equipment that only worked with an even number of threads. When an odd number was required, more threads had to be used than necessary. For instance, the dual-row equipment for applying the thread framework often resulted in excess strength of the product and thread overuse on the winding machines.
To address the issue, three-row tips for winding machines were developed, which optimized the production process by allowing operations with fewer threads. This, in turn, reduced material consumption while maintaining the necessary strength level. As a result, the enterprise saves over 3 million rubles per year.
It is noteworthy that during the implementation of the national project, 992 employees from various enterprises in the republic have been trained in lean production tools, and 22 model flows have been created.
