Mordovia and “AB InBev Efes” expand socio-economic cooperation

The second day of the Mordovian delegation's work at the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum began with the signing of a cooperation agreement between the republic and “AB InBev Efes”. It took place as part of a working meeting between the Head of Mordovia, Artyom Zdunov, and Nikolai Tyurnikov, CEO of “AB InBev Efes”.

The parties discussed plans for further development of production and cooperation with local manufacturers and suppliers.

Artyom Zdunov and Nikolai Tyurnikov signed an agreement on socio-economic cooperation. It opens up new opportunities for further development of a mutually beneficial partnership between the company and the region for the next three years.

"The company's branch in Saransk is one of the largest taxpayers in the republic and is included in the list of regional backbone organizations," said Artyom Zdunov, the Head of the Republic. – We are interested in its stable operation, increasing production volumes, and preserving jobs. All this will have a positive impact on increasing regional budget revenues and developing economic potential. An important area is to support the development of barley processing by farmers of the republic for production. We will continue working in this direction!"

"Our company and the Republic of Mordovia have long-standing and strong partnership. Thanks to this, a large-scale production cooperation has been established in the region: local farmers grow malting barley for our needs, we process it in our own malt house and brew beer using local malt, which is bottled in containers produced by the Ruzaevsky glass Factory. This provides significant revenues to the regional budget and creates new jobs. Additionally, in order to attract more and more professionals to the brewing industry and related industries, our company actively cooperates with the main university of the region, Mordovia State University. This year, we helped to improve the Agricultural Garden on its territory. I am confident that the relaunch of the cooperation agreement with the region will help give a new impetus to the development of its economy and social sphere," said Nikolai Tyurnikov, CEO of the “AB InBev Efes” brewing company.
