Mordovia and Cuba are establishing cooperation
Head of Mordovia Artem Zdunov is currently in Cuba. The regional leader held a working meeting with the governor of Matanzas Province, Marieta Caridad Poey Zamora.
“Mordovia and Cuba are getting closer! Despite the imposed restrictions on Russia, we continue to explore foreign markets. Some representatives from the region are currently in China, while we, along with federal colleagues, are working in the Republic of Cuba. We are interested in exporting optical fiber, resuming supplies of industrial wagons of various modifications, involving our enterprises in the restoration of oil storage facilities, and providing education for Cuban students in the universities of our republic.
Today, in the province of Matanzas, we are working with corresponding member of the Russian Academy of Sciences, Oleg I. Apolikhin. We discussed questions regarding the supply of our products during a meeting with the governor of the province, Marieta Caridad Poey Zamora. Here, there is a highly developed network of healthcare and educational institutions. There is also production of petroleum products, milk, meat, and sugar. Additionally, there are several large industrial ports,” wrote Artem Zdunov in his official Telegram channel.
The Head of Mordovia emphasized that there is currently an effort underway to explore the possibility of signing a cooperation agreement.
