Mordovia enterprises increased investment activity
In Mordovia, as in Russia as a whole, the investment activity of enterprises increased in 2024. This happened, among other things, due to the use of profits from previous years, and high business activity of businesses also had an impact. This is stated in the latest issue of the Bank of Russia report "Regional Economy: Comments of the Main Directorate".
According to Rosstat, in 2024, compared to the previous year, Mordovia enterprises increased the volume of investments in the construction and reconstruction of buildings, structures, equipment modernization and other fixed assets by almost 8%. Moreover, more than half of these investments are the companies' own funds.
According to the Bank of Russia monitoring, in the first quarter of 2025, regional enterprises continued to invest in the modernization of their assets, but less actively than in 2024. At the same time, the expectations of the republic's companies regarding investments for the second quarter of 2025 have improved. Currently, several investment projects are in the final stages in Mordovia, including large ones: ncreasing of the production of castings, producing of wet feed and frozen semi-finished products.
The report "Regional Economy: Comments of the Main Directorate" is based on the opinions of experts, official statistics and the results of monitoring about 15 thousand enterprises, including more than 120 from Mordovia. The Board of Directors of the Bank of Russia takes into account the data of the report when making a decision on the key rate.
