Mordovia has improved its position in the ranking of innovative development
According to the 11th edition of the Rating of Innovative Development of the Russian Federation’s Subjects by the Higher School of Economics (HSE), Mordovia ranks 11th in the country, having moved up two positions over the past year.
Among the republic’s best results is its high level of innovative activity: the region ranks 6th in the corresponding rating of Russian regions. Mordovia maintains strong positions in terms of activity in the field of technological and non‑technological innovations, innovation expenditures, and the effectiveness of innovative activities.
Other strengths of the region, which have improved by several positions in the rankings, include the quality of innovation policy (up from 17th to 12th place), scientific and technical potential (up from 24th to 22nd place), and export activity (up from 27th to 24th place).
Thus, Mordovia continues to strengthen its position among the most innovatively developed regions of the country, outperforming most Russian regions in terms of the key indicators of its innovation system.
