Mordovia is among the top 5 in terms of inventive activity in Russia
The Republic of Mordovia is the leader in inventive activity in the Volga Federal District and occupies an honorable fourth place in the country. This is evidenced by data from the Federal Intellectual Property Service for 2024.
The coefficient of inventive activity in Mordovia is 3.58, which is the highest indicator in the Volga Federal District. This figure is significantly higher than the average for Russia (2.39).
Over the past three years, the number of applications for inventions and utility models has increased by 51%. The number of registrations of regional brands is also growing. In 2024, five applications for geographical indications were submitted, making Mordovia the leader in this indicator among the regions of Russia (along with the Ryazan and Yaroslavl regions).
