Mordovia is becoming more interested in social entrepreneurship
Thanks to the implementation of the national project "Efficient and Competitive Economy", small and medium-sized businesses receive financial and non-financial support measures, which contributes to the growth of the number of entrepreneurs, including social ones. By the beginning of February 2025, 67 such enterprises had already been registered in Mordovia.
This segment is showing positive dynamics all across Russia with an increase of 11% by the end of last year.
"At the moment, the register has 12,212 entities, which is 1,281 more participants than a year earlier," said Tatyana Ilyushnikova, Deputy Minister of Economic Development of the Russian Federation.
To support social entrepreneurship, social innovation centers have been established on the basis of the “My Business” centers, which provide various consultations, educational and acceleration programs, as well as seminars and trainings. Social entrepreneurs often work in those niches where traditional businesses do not see profits, opening up new market opportunities and implementing innovative solutions in various fields.
