Mordovia – Turkey: "We have great potential to develop cooperation further"
On May 15, on the sidelines of the XVI International Economic Forum "Russia - Islamic World: KazanForum" the Head of Mordovia Artyom Zdunov held a meeting with the Deputy Minister of Trade of the Republic of Turkey Mahmud Gyurdan.
Artyom Zdunov stressed that the Republic of Turkey is one of the main trading partners of the Republic of Mordovia, and the region is interested in further strengthening and expanding trade and economic cooperation. In 2024, the trade turnover between Mordovia and the Republic of Turkey amounted to 11 million US dollars.
During the meeting, issues of supplies of lighting, rubber, cable and wire products, building materials and food products to the Republic of Turkey were discussed. Presentations were made by Sergey Kanaev, Minister of Agriculture of Mordovia, heads of the republican enterprises Lato, Playterra, Saranskkabel and TKM.
Artyom Zdunov invited his Turkish colleagues to visit the republic on a business mission to get to know the region and potential trading partners more closely.
Mordovia will also prepare a delegation to Turkey. "We have great potential to develop cooperation further," the Head of the Republic emphasized.
The entire industrial line of Mordovia will soon be presented to the Turkish side at the site of the Turkish-Russian Business Council.
