Mordovia will continue cooperation with KAMAZ PTC
The Head of Mordovia, Artyom Zdunov, met with Sergey Kogogin, General Director of KAMAZ PTC, on May 15 on the sidelines of the XVI International Economic Forum "Russia - Islamic World: KazanForum". The issues of increasing the volume of supplies and expanding the range of products supplied by enterprises of the Republic of Mordovia were discussed. In the first quarter of this year, the growth rate of supply volumes amounted to 288% compared to the corresponding period last year (the main share of the increase was provided by the Elektrovypryamitel and Rezinotekhnika plants).
They also discussed the participation of KAMAZ PTC in the renovation of Saransk's trolleybus and bus fleet. The parties agreed to purchase 25 trolleybuses and 10 buses powered by natural gas this year.
Another topic of the meeting was the development of cooperative relations with the Mordovian company Verstakoff. Last year, at this forum, representatives of KAMAZ became interested in Verstakoff repair shops made on MAZ chassis. At the request of the customer, the company has developed two prototypes of vehicles on KAMAZ chassis. Following the meeting, the parties agreed to continue cooperation – Verstakoff will receive a large order from KAMAZ. The issue of localizing the production of mobile repair shops based on the chassis of KAMAZ vehicles in the republic was also discussed.
The meeting was attended by Acting Chairman of the Government of the Republic of Moldova Batyr Emeev, First Deputy Chairman of the Government of the Republic of Moldova Natalia Tarkaeva, Minister of Economy, Trade and Entrepreneurship of the Republic of Moldova Ivan Gorin, Acting Minister of Industry, Science and New Technologies of the Republic of Moldova Alexander Davydkin, General Director of TPK Verstakoff LLC Igor Silin.
