MORDOVIA WILL RECEIVE MORE THAN 20 MILLION RUBLES FOR THE PURCHASE OF CONTAINERS FOR THE SEPARATE COLLECTION OF MUNICIPAL WASTE
The Republic of Mordovia is among 43 regions of the Russian Federation, which will be allocated funds for the purchase of containers for the separate collection of municipal solid waste (MSW). The order on the allocation of 1.5 billion rubles for these purposes was signed by Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin.
The subsidy from the federal budget is provided on the terms of co-financing. 20,108.8 million rubles will be allocated to Mordovia.
The use of containers allows you to separate glass, metals, paper and plastic at the collection stage, and then use them as recyclable materials. The new support measure will increase the recycling of MSW and accelerate the country's transition to a closed-cycle economy.
In addition, the funding will help the regions achieve the goals and indicators set by the federal project «Integrated Solid Municipal Waste Management System».
