Mordovia, with the support of Rosselkhoznadzor, will expand the geography of its agricultural exports
A working meeting between Artem Zdunov, Head of Mordovia, and Sergei Dankvert, Head of the Federal Service for Veterinary and Phytosanitary Surveillance, took place on the sidelines of the SPIEF. The discussion focused on expanding the export of agricultural products from Mordovia.
It was noted that Mordovia is fully self-sufficient in basic food products and has significant export potential. For certain products, 40% to 80% of the total production volume is exported outside the region.
The main export destinations are Kazakhstan, China, Belarus, Latvia, and Vietnam. Mordovia actively exports sausages, poultry and pork, rapeseed oil, dairy products, pet food, confectionery, and other products.
"Expanding the geography of exports and increasing the number of Mordovia enterprises permitted to export is a crucial task. "The support of Rosselkhoznadzor will increase the region's export potential and strengthen the position of Mordovia's products in foreign markets," noted Artyom Zdunov.
The parties discussed the opening of new markets and prospects for developing the region's agricultural exports, which are growing every year.
