Mordovian cities were included in the Urban Environment Quality Rating
The Ministry of Construction, Housing and Utilities of the Russian Federation annually generates an index of the quality of Russian cities. This rating reflects actual changes and allows to determine further development priorities.
All seven cities of Mordovia were included in the Urban Environment Quality Rating and have strengthened their positions since last year. This was the result of work on the improvement of public spaces, including within the framework of the national project "Housing and urban environment". For example, the capital of the republic, Saransk, showed significant growth, reaching a score of 222 points.
The index takes into account many factors, such as the state of infrastructure, safety, comfort, ecology, as well as the quality of work of local governments.
The results of the Index formation are used in implementing provisions of the Decree of the President of Russia "On the National Development Goals of the Russian Federation for the period up to 2030" to determine the amount of subsidies from the federal budget to the subjects of the Russian Federation to support state and municipal programs for the formation of a modern urban environment.
