PROJECTS FROM MORDOVIA HAVE BECOME LAUREATES OF THE ROUTE OF THE YEAR 2024 TOURISM AWARD
Over 300 projects from 61 regions of the country were presented in Ufa at the final of the Route of the Year – 2024 All-Russian Tourism Competition. Five projects from the Republic of Mordovia were showcased, with four of them becoming laureates.
In the Best Tourist Route for Family Travel category, the project “Path to the Origins” won. It offers guests an exciting tour to the House of Traditions in the village of Parakino, located in the Bolshebereznikovsky district.
The Shufta-Tour route from Zapovednaya Mordovia with a walking tour of Saransk and a workshop on creating souvenirs from natural materials was awarded second place in the Best Urban Excursion category.
Third place in the Best Rural Tourism Route category was awarded to the project “Mordovian Gastrotourism”. It offers a tour to the Mardarika-Shoksha cheese house.
Another bronze award in the Best Gastronomic Route category went to the project “Tasty Weekends with a Mordovian Accent”. It offers a two-day excursion: the first day in Saransk, and the second in the villages of Parakino and Podlesnaya Tavla.
A special diploma for “Aesthetic Import Substitution” was awarded to the project “The History of the Kemlya Distillery: From Its Origins to the Present Day” in the Best Industrial Tourism Route category.
