PROJECTS FROM MORDOVIA HAVE BECOME WINNERS OF THE GEOBRANDS FESTIVAL
At the Land of Discoveries, the first GeoBrands Festival, held at the Civic Chamber of the Russian Federation, two projects from Mordovia were awarded. The video materials were prepared by the Mordovia Development Corporation.
The film How to Felt Valenki in the Urusovo Museum won third place in the I’ll Take You to the Museum category. Experts noted the video's particularly warm and welcoming tone and recommended it for viewing in history classes at schools and on public platforms.
In the My Land of Discoveries. Personal Story category, second place was awarded to the video story From Maternity Leave to the RUSSIA International Exhibition-Forum (The Story of One Self-Employed Woman).
It introduces Anna Nesterova, a plate painting artist from Ardatov, whose inspiration comes from Mordovian national culture. Several of her works were showcased at the RUSSIA International Exhibition-Forum. Among them is a plate featuring one of the Republic's iconic landmarks – the Sanaksarsky Monastery, where the relics of Saint Righteous Warrior Fyodor Ushakov are laid to rest.
