RUSSIAN GOVERNMENT APPROVES DECREE ON SUBMITTING APPLICATIONS FOR GRID CONNECTION VIA THE STATE SERVICES PORTAL
Starting January 1, 2026, citizens and organizations will be able to submit applications for connection to the electrical grids of all power grid companies through their personal accounts on the State Services portal. This information was announced on the official website of the Government of the Russian Federation.
The decision aims to simplify and expedite the process of technological connection to electrical grids. It will affect both individuals building summer cottages or residential homes and construction companies erecting residential, social, industrial, and other facilities.
The option to submit applications for grid connection via the State Services portal was first introduced in 2022, but it was initially limited to applications submitted to major energy companies. Starting in 2026, this practice will be extended to all power grid organizations.
Applicants will still have the option to visit the office of a power grid organization in person or complete the documentation on the organization's website.
